Our Story

Husband & Wife Team
Erica began her work as a doula 19 years ago after experiencing, first hand, the difference a doula can make with her first VBAC. From there her passion for moms and birth ignited. As anyone who has worked with Erica as a doula, childbirth educator, or birth assistant knows, her belief that birth matters (to everyone) and in the strength of her amazing clients is evident in everything she does.
Scott spent his first career in engineering as a partner in a local automotive and aerospace firm for 25 years. He currently runs his own business as a freelance engineer. Scott is also a licensed pilot and elected official in their township.
As parents to 7 in their beautifully blended family, Scott and Erica love every moment of growing their family and their business together. They work as a team at Nurture every day, celebrating your prenatal experience from a first ultrasound to birth and beyond.
